SAILING instruction and sailboat rental
at the following rates (paid in advance):

1.  Private sailing lessons available by appointment.  Most instruction will require a total of three to four sessions @ $75/two hour session per person.  The sessions will begin with "ground school" followed by rigging of the boat then time on the water.  Call 256-582-2713 or toll free 1-87SAIL BCSM or e-mail sailbrownscreek@charter.net for info.  Cash, check or money order.  Sorry, no credit or debit cards.

2.  Introductory Sailing Classes held each Fall and Spring for 4 students minimum (6 maximum) at $45 per person, $40 per person for family rate, $35 per person for BCSA club members. (BCSA member families will have first choice).  Instruction will consists of 4 sessions on Sundays 2 PM to 6 PM plus two 2-hour labs using the BCSA Sunfish sailboats.

    a.   2008 Fall Sailing Class (September 28, October 5, 12, and 19) has openings.  Register now as classes fill up well in advance.

    b.   Future classes will be held each fall and spring.  Call 256-582-2713 or toll free 1-87SAIL BCSM

    c.   Class is limited to 6 students.

3.  Follow-up sailboat rental for students who have completed a class or have suitable experience, 2-hour minimum, boats in by dusk.

a.   $12.50/hr. for the 12-foot Monarch 1 or 2 people (2-hr minimum)

b.   $17.50/hr. for the 16-foot dinghy, 2 or 3 people (2-hr minimum)

c.   $20.00/hr. for the 14-foot Vagabond 1 to 3+ people (2-hr. minimum)

d.   $20.00/hr. for the Hobie Bravo 1 to 2+ people (2-hr. minimum)

Cash, check or money order.  Sorry, no credit or debit cards.  $50 extra deposit paid in advance - in case we have to come rescue you or the boat

4.  Large sailboat rental: 23-foot Columbia with outboard, $30 per hour with a four-hour minimum.  2 to 4 people with qualified sailor.  Overnight for 24 hours $200.

Sorry this boat is currently not available due to some needed sail repairs.
$50 extra deposit paid in advance - in case we have to come rescue you or the boat

5.  BCSA sailing club members have unlimited use of Sunfish at no charge.  BCSA Membership is $120 per year.  Completion of either BCSA or BCSM class or experience is required.

1.  Private rowing lessons $45/two-hr. session.  Four 2-hour training sessions are generally required for completion.

2.  Boat rental at $15/hr.  (Rental is applied toward membership of $90 per year in BCRC (Browns Creek Rowing Club.)  So, six hours of rowing rental equals membership for one year.  Use of club boats free for club members.

3.  Club members are expected to participate in club projects at one hour per month.  Such as building boat shed, dock maintenance and participation in races, as well as attendance at regular meetings.

4.  Time on ERG (rowing machine) at no charge for club members.
