1979 O'DAY JAVELIN 14' Sloop Daysailer

I bought this fine boat in September 2016 from the original owner, who took great care of this sloop, keeping it under cover its entire existence. Four the last years he had it, it was stored in his garage, not used. From 1986 until 2012, he sailed it once a year. I kept it covered in my carport until moving it to the marina where it currently resides. The boat is now protected by a brand new Sailors' Tailor custom mooring cover ($500).

Features:
- Swing Keel. [The boat can be beached.]
- Folding rudder
- Main and Jib sails are in good condition.
- The standing and running rigging are in good condition.
- Boom Vang
- Cockpit cooler/storage
- Self-draining cockpit
- Custom mooring cover
- Custom mahogany hatch cover
- Paddle
- Two new fenders/bumpers with new lines
- New mooring lines
- Extra mainsail battens
- Spartan brand trailer with new tires, recently packed bearings, a new spare, and a new winch strap

This sturdy boat does not show its age. It is an excellent boat for the beginning or experienced sailor who wants a fun craft that's easy to trailer.

My wife has become interested in sailing and wants a bigger boat in which to take the family and perhaps go overnight.

Out of consideration, please only contact me if you are a serious buyer.
